Guest grunt0331
I'll go 30-35 yards. I'm not consistent enough past that to be fair to the animal.

Guest Rolngthun
I stay under 30 yards. And the deer has to look relaxed. Deer are too quick to jump or duck an arrow.
dbHunterNY
30 Tops I practice out to 40 yards. However, I only would shoot out to 30 yards. I feel my groups aren't tight enough at 40, and I practice at 40 to shoot at 30. I read an article by Bill Winke saying that it's better to practice out past the yardage you set your limit at. I also read an article by I believe Chuck Adams that a common yardage that deer commonly jump the string is 20 yards or less. I've been practicing a lot the past two years. Hopefully I'll increase my limit to 40 or so. Maybe get a better or newer bow. The one I have (Buckmaster BTR32) has a cast riser and isn't the best of quality dispite I've made it work. - Dan
