deerslayer06
Hey bowhunters, Im a newbie to archery and i am looking to purchase my first bow sometime soon. I noticed bows usually have 2 ratings when it comes to feet per second. ABO and IBO. what do they stand for? thanks for the help.
wtnhunt
Best way I can explain is the ibo speed is a rated speed shooting the lightest arrow setup that the bow can safely shoot at the fastest possible speed. Think IBO stands for international bowhunters organization. The other rating AMO is usually a slower speed that looks at the average speed a bow will get with an average shooter not shooting to the highest potential the bow is capable of.
