VermontHunter
Well today was the first day of our Archery Season,, I had to be at work for 5:30 am this morning, but made plans to hunt the afternoon with my dad... Everything started out GREAT ,, it was actually quite perfect this A.M. 50 degree's and clear ... so I had high hopes for the afternoon hunt.. Well that took a sudden nose drive in a right hurry .. about 12:00 noon the sky's took a bad look to them and the heavens opened up with heavy rain for the rest of the day .. :( My dad was OK,, he had the Ameristep Ground Blind to keep his butt dry ,,, I on the other hand wasn't so comfy ... CAN YOU SAY SOAKED TO THE BONES !! .. :( and on top of it we didn't see, not a single deer .. Lot's of Geese but NO deer ... Here's a few pics of what we faced,, or should I say what I indured .. while my dad was enjoying the nice dry blind .. I even think I heard a couple of those Geese in the cut field laughing at me .. :o This isn't the way I wanted to start my Vacation Time .. Yep,,, the Geese actually work thier way close enough for my bow a couple of times ... ;) I don't have a Goose tag tho ,, and I'm not sure if it's even legal to down a goose with a bow here .... Guest Finn
LOL...yeah, doubt that would be legal, unless you've got steel shot in your bow

self
I wish we were having that problem, I would rather sit in the rain(in a covered blind that is) than sit in this 90+ heat we have been having.
