wtnhunt
Guilty here. Our season opened Sept 22, have been out just one afternoon so far this year, and I think 4 or 5 mornings. It is in the low 70's here this morning now. I am going out here shortly, but not getting in any hurry.
bwlacy
I didn't go out this weekend because of the hot weather. Don't want to ruin any stands with the wrong winds and sweating my butt off, it's a long season.
jbeck
I haven't been out yet, we have a good acorn crop. The deer on our property our going everywhere. No sense educateing them this early, I went golfing. LOL I'll think about hitting them latter this week.
Michihunter
Too hot for sure. I kept picturing myself dragging a deer through cedar swamp with 90 degree heat and the Mosquito army fighting me every step of the way.
LifeNRA
How many of you guys and gals diddn`t go hunting this week because of the 80 degree weather ?? Am I the only one ?? Nope! I never hunted an afternoon when it was this hot for deer. This past Thursday I tried it! Never again!!! Missed a big doe, clean miss, but I was glad too! Didn't want a tracking, gutting, dragging, looking for a cooler time of it!
MCH
Too hot for sure. I kept picturing myself dragging a deer through cedar swamp with 90 degree heat and the Mosquito army fighting me every step of the way. Did almost that exact thing yesterday. Dragged a doe out of a swamp with the temps around 85.

Guest adrenaline_junky
I hunted all week, morning and night. Shot a P&Y Tuesday night then took my buddy out to video the last couple of days. We seen alot of deer just no shooters. The only thing we decided was we wouldn't shoot unless it was a big buck. Just didn't want to shoot a doe and have the meat go bad. The buck we take to a processor to have made into bologna and jerkey.
dbHunterNY
I'd be out I hunt in NY and the season hasn't started yet (not until the 13th). If bugs were a problem then I'd go out and buy a thermacell. I'd hunt water sources or beds under shaded cover, but regardless I'd be out there. I know why many of you aren't going out though. It's just I've gotten a bunch of new equipment and I can't wait to use it in the field. Good luck to all of you this season, Dan

Buckslayer
I was out saturday morn 3 hours and then the last 2 hours of daylight after the sun cast shadow into the bottom I was hunting. It was alright; hot, but at least no mosquitos. Didn't see much just one doe.
