Hillbilly
My friends entered us into a contest from Florida. I don't know the name of it, but they sent us cameras and we can film our hunts, gun or bow throughout the season. Realtree is the sponsor I think cause all of us will be wearing realtree... but on our team thats all we own. Anyways G5 is also a sponsor. My question is for which broadhead should I go with. G5 Montec or G5 Striker. I was thinking about the Tekan II but don't trust mechanicals. Thanks for your advice.
Brad6639
Id go with the montec, its resharpenable and its all one peice so there is no weak spots. The stryker would be good, but I really liek the resharbenable part and the solid one peice design.
VermontHunter
Any of the 3 choices that you have stated .. that's just how good G5 is as a manufacturer .. ;) I see a whole lot of prostaffers using the Tekan II's ..
bbarnhart20
definately go with the montec's but sharpen them up before using the may not be too sharp out of the package... i shot mine for the first time and they hit exactly the same as my field pts.... i was hitting three in a 2" circle at 30 yrds. bring on that buck! Randy
I shot Tekan II for the last couple years. You will not find a better flying head. However, I have shot quite a few deer with them and am not real satisfied with the cutting diameter. The blood trails are not as good as with a threee blade head. JMO of course! AdvantageTimberLou
Go with the G5 striker, they are scary, scary sharp and fly like a field tip. Awesome head. You can't go wrong with any choice but the striker would be my choice! Good luck in that contest! Maybe we can see you on TV sometime! hutchies
I have shot the strikers out to 40 yards and they fley great..........Plus they are replacable blade. The Tekan II's are an awesome head as well. All 3 heads they make are great. It just comes to personal preference.
Michihunter
You could always use one of each and have 3 different kills to describe. Just put the names in a hat and pull one and you'll be satisfied regardless.
