98chevy
I dont know if I agree with this. Im kinda in a city. I live south of birmingham. Like 10 min south but i can shoot in my back yard. Ive always hunted and fished. Ive never done anything wrong, I never drink and never done drugs or any thing. My best freinds have been to rehab for it though. So city guys go bad I knwo first hand. So i go off to college and these country boys come in from the farms and im jelouse of there life style but half of them are just going crazy now they have gotten away from the farm. Only diffrence I can see is. City folks go to rehab If they screw up Country boys go home to dad. IM not sure which one would be worst. Also what kept me out of trouble was my parents who drug me to church till I started wanting to go. I knew what was right and wrong and I know That if i did any of that stuff I would disapoint them and that would crush me.
RangerClay
Its not an old mans beer.....Its a vetrans beer. All these young drinkers just starting out see the advertisement for bud, coors, or miller, so thats the first thing they go to when they want a drink. After awhile it gets expensive buying that crap and they experiment with other products. And once they crack that first Pabst, thats what they drink til the day they die because once they discover the excellent flavor and true smoothness and at a cheap price....why drink anything else? As a teacher I see all kinds of kids. Big kids, silly kids, even kids with chicken pox. It all comes down to good parenting. Let me give you an example. Our school is just down the street from the Sisters of St. James Mother House, a convent. One day afterschool one of our students decides to "moon" a nun. Our assistant principle hauls the kid in and calls the parents. Sam get the Dad on the phone and explains what the boy did. The father says, "So..." Studies have shown that kids who hunt and fish are less likely to get into trouble. But it doesn't work for everyone.
stevebeilgard
i think small town kids have an edge over city folks. and hunting kids are better than non hunting kids. but it all comes down to the parents who train, and hunt, with their kids. Wilfinator
I have noticed it too and my theory is this: a) they don't usually have the distractions that city life provides for them to get into trouble with b) They have a mom and a dad that is there for them (family ties are stronger) c) There is usually something going on that keeps them busy besides Nintendo
Jeramie
Im a farm (country kid) too. I know what youre talking about. I think William hit this one on the head... Really kids and what and how they do all falls back on parenting or lack of. Typically country folks are hard workers. They keep their kids busy, involved, and teach values. So you are right but William lined out in a little better detail IMHO.
