dogdoc
Shawn--I know it's hard to wait but I would sure encourage you to wait to breed him. You want to know 100% that both his eyes and hips will certify. There is no need to possibly pass on hip dysplasia or eye dysplasia to offspring. If your dead set anyway you can still have a preliminary hip x-ray taken and have it sent to OFA--they will give you a preliminary reading. You can get the eyes cerfed anytime--they don't have to be 2 years of age. As far as what he'll throw--just remember 50% of the genes come from the mother--he might be a heck of a hunting dog but if the mother doesn't have the same drive or similiar characteristics all the pups could be worthless as hunting dogs. good luck todd
Shawn
Thank you for the input Todd. I appreciate it and will surely take into consideration what you've said. Thank you again. Not having any luck finding him a girlfriend anyway. So he may just be waiting anyway.
