Guest Andrea
The kids missed the bus this morning because there was a substitute driver and he/she came too early. So of course, I have to take the boys to school. Not a problem. I throw on some shorts and shoes, don the sunglasses and we hit the road. Get to the school and as I am making the turn into the "drop off" lane the sun BLINDS me. So I wind up taking out one of those orange cones and DRAGGING it with the truck. ( Why they have those stupid things in the way, I have no idea) The boys are mortified. And all I can do is laugh. The aide standing there where the kids get out is slightly amused. The boys quickly get out and run into the school with their shirts over their heads and I drive away, leaving the cone behind me. :D:D:D:D.................hey it coulda been worse, I coulda gotten out and crawled up under the truck in my pajama shirt and shorts and no makeup.:D

craig mack
You know what they say "women driver's, no survivors":D Maybe you should invest in those big square looking sun glasses that all the old people wear. I think their called blue blockers. Than you would really be looking hot.

Guest Andrea
Not that I actually mind embarassing my kids, casue they sure do enough of that to me...... But the sun was at such an angle that my windshield was completely WHITE. I could see NOTHING!!!!!! Glad there wasn't a child in front of me. And you really have to drive slow through there so the blindness didn't go away quickly. And yeah....I had on shades. No help whatsoever....... Just one of those things I guess. Next time.......I might consider dropping them off a block away and let them walk. I'm sure that would be FINE with them.

Ohiobucks
You know what they say "women driver's, no survivors":D Hey Craig, that was my first thought as well! Great minds think alike I guess. Last year, I would drop my oldest boy off at school, wait till he got about 10 yards away from the car, and I would yell out the window "Daddy loves you Jake!!!" That comment + an 11 year old boy around his friends = a fast walk into the school....
