wtnhunt
Dont know how much I spend total, but it is too much probably and honestly it varies considerably from year to year. This year has been well above average on what we have spent. This year we have put a good chunk into plots, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $700 I am guessing, that does not count my time invested just the lime, fertilizer, fuel, and seed and I am guessing there without going back and looking at receipts. Then too, have several digital trail cams I have built this past year, probably $700-$800 invested there or possibly more, I have not kept track. Think it would be easiest to average out over say a 5 year period, because you do have occasional big purchases that are not every year, then have some years where you might not spend near as much. For this season, bought some new gear including some scent lok clothing and also just bought some new snake boots to replace the rocky boots I had that leaked like a sieve too. Betting on average if I totalled 5 years up and divided it out we would likely spend around $1000 a year on hunting related products. This year, I am kind of afraid to know just how much over the course of a year we have actually spent, but betting it is on up there. rhine16
http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62328 That is a thread where i asked everyone what their hunting budget was for this year. Maybe this will help. Good luck on your paper.

Dawg
I buy about 2 bags of corn per week, so that's about 24 bags per season give or take a couple bags, @ $5 a bag, that's $120. Gas going back and forth isn't a factor because it's not soley for hunting. My rifle cartridges are hand loaded by my ole' pops, so that's free. Deer lease dues this year was only $50, so that's now $170. Bought a new bow for $310, that's $480, scents, scent eleminator, new clothing, and mis. stuff about another $100, arrows were $50, so I'd say around the $700 mark, give or take a few $'s. Wilfinator
The first couple of years were pricey (camo, clothing, etc). I probably have spent close to $1000 over the last three years but after that just maintaining what gets used up (scents etc)
billkay
I would check out the sites for the SHOT, (Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trades), and the ATA, (Archery Trade Assoc). If the info posted is not listed, an e-mail to them should get you the info.
