BowtechTurkeyHunter
Doesn't mean you have to pick the most storied, most championed teams of each sport to root for though. Look at our boy MCH...he lives in Oklahoma, which doens't have any pro teams, yet he roots for the Bills and Dodgers. A couple of bad teams, but he's loyal as heck to them.:D I have been a Red Wings fan for MANY MANY years ... even before they were any good lol ... as far as the Cowboys ... I was a fan when Landry and Danny White was the coach and players ... another small factor is that my wife is from Irving TX and that sorta helps keep the peace if you know what I mean ... I have also always been a Cubs fan ... dont like the Yankees so much ... My AL team has to the Texas Rangers ... neither one of them two are very popular to be huge fans of lol. As long as I have been member of these forums I have never wavered from the teams I cheer for ... not once I have always been true to these teams win or loose. Muff
Well I will say the Boys did a bit better than I thought they would....BUT like I said the Pats are a way better team....hate to say I told you so:D
mike
i'd give the game ball to the refs:eek::rolleyes: i can't remember the last time i watched a game that was so one sided on penalties:confused: i figured the pats would squeek out a win but the calls were getting old. seems like the boys just gave up about half way through the 4th. everytime time they made a big play it got called back:confused: but like i said i fugured the pats would win it. they are more solid now than their superbowl team imho. i see a rematch in january:cool:
VermontHunter
I didn't hear one Dallas fan crying about penalties last weekend against the Bills when they were going in thier favor .. Mike,, you really think Dallas could pull off so many big plays if they weren't causing a few penalties to make them happen ?? ... ;) Now suck it up ,, the better team one .. :D Sheesh did I just say that about the Pats ?? ... I need help .. mike
i gave the pats the credit but imho i think refs were a lil biase:p:D any given play in the nfl can have a holding call its just how blatant it is whether or not it gets flagged. i saw alot of plays they could have flagged the pats and they didn't simple as that. but oh well life goes on:rolleyes: like i said brady and the boys are as solid of a teams as i have seen in a long time if not ever. very well rounded. they are gonna have to have an off night to lose i think. and dallas doesn't need to cheat anymore than any other team in the nfl to get a big play, and other than that late interception romo played better than most QBs in the league this week;)

whitetailkiller
the game has already been played but here are my thoughts!!! dallas is a good team just not as good as indy or the pats!!! i've been a pats fan since i was 10...i've been a cowboys fan since i was 7 i wanted dallas to win that game but the way they played they didn't deserve to win the pats kicked butt like they have all season!!!!! i'm calling it now pats and cowboys in the superbowl!!! Hillbilly
I don't think Dallas isn't good they just got out coached and out played. I don't know why I picked Dallas to win, stupid pick on my behalf. Pats are just way to good, to many weapons, and a great defense.

muggs
Witten is better than both!!!! Has winslow even played a full season yet? He is just another overrated player out of miami! 2006 Winslow 89 receptions for 875 and 3 TD's. Witten 64 grabs for 754 and 1 TD. Now, I'm not big on stats, so consider the fact Winslow had Chuck Frye throwing to him and played for a 4-12 team. Witten had a much better QB throwing to him on a better team- in a weaker conference. Winslow is without question the TE as far as creating the biggest mismatches, especially to spread the field vertically. Actually, there's problem only three or four TE's in the league that can spread the field vertically (Watson is one of them too). Gates is by far the best in the redzone and in short yardage situations. Witten is good, but the only thing he does better than these two might be runblock...but that's it bud. Not to mention, Kellen Sr. is a HOF TE and one of the best ever...so the gene pool is there. To call him "another overrated player from Miami" is sorta stupid. Not only is he just now showing is potential (after 4 surgeries no less) but the list of "overrated players from Miami" includes Ray Lewis, Edgerrin James, Ed Reed, Reggie Wayne, McGahee, Warren Sapp and the like. If that's "overrated" I'm not sure what "great" is then.
