Guest Finn
170 for whitetail deer. B&C doesn't do bow records, that's Pope and Young

Tominator
170 for whitetail deer. B&C doesn't do bow records, that's Pope and Young Yes, but a deer that meets the minimum score can still be entered into B&C even if it was taken by a bow, correct? Tominator
really, I don't know I don't think Boone cares as to the method, as long as it abides by its fair chase rules, but now you have me thinking.

Correct. B&C is any method (gun, bow, ml) minimum is 170 typical and 195 non-typical P&Y is bow only. minimum is 125 for typical and 155 for non-typical
TxBowHunter
I allways thought Pope and Young were the bow hunters scoring. And Boone And Crocket was the rifle scoring?
Randyman
Boone and Crockett is for any legally killed Deer and Pope and Young is for archery Deer only. The 170 and 195 minimums are for the all time records book. The 3 year awards period book minimums are slightly lower, though i'm not sure exactly what they are. Tominator
I allways thought Pope and Young were the bow hunters scoring. And Boone And Crocket was the rifle scoring? They both share the same method of scoring.
