PotashRLS
Drury website is all PSE and no Hoyt? When did the boys get bought out? I was shocked since they had been Hoyt shooters I think since they started putting out videos. Anybody know what happened? Other than the obvious ($$$)
wtnhunt
Had not heard that before now, guess they have good reason for changing and money is likely involved as you mention. Nothing wrong with pse bows, despite some expressions some folks seem to occasionally say about them.
craig mack
I havent heard anything like that. But you know money talks.

Guest bow_hunter101
PSE made some good bows in the past, but they've been slackin' the last few years! I hope they come out with some nice bows in '08.
bigmoss
This happened a few months ago now, Hoyt is out and PSE is in. I guess the sponsor dollars were better. If you own a PSE and have a kill on Video you can send it to them and have it aired maybe. This to was posted a while ago

I hope they come out with some nice bows in '08. the slack was because the owner/founder retired and let go into a 2nd company take control until he saw how low moral was and profits he came back his first year back was '06 which is when they started the development of the x force

hutchies
Cash is king...............They are putting out a XForce Dream Season bow. I'm sure that since they got their own bow and will get royalties out of it that had alot to do with it. http://www.pse-archery.com/img/08_ProductLine/08_Pro_Series_DreamSeason.pdf?PHPSESSID=903865a14f04843713e38c9ebf0ac689

They are my favorite outdoor guys to watch because they seemed like the average joes who did well for themselves. I suppose who wouldn't take a sweet deal like that from PSE, but them relating to the bowhunters across the nation is what got them where they are in popularity. Too bad that each person on their team couldn't shoot what ever bow they wanted to. That would continue to make the videos truely original and authentic. Oh well, just my thoughts
hutchies
If you think they are the only team that does this you are sadly mistaken. Primos everyone shoots the Truth bow, The Choice.........Hoyts, Dream Season was under contract from Hoyt......Why do you think you didn't see any other bows on there? hutchies
I know if Hoyt, Bowtech, Mathews..............Or heck just about any reputable company offered me a deal to shoot their bows I would love it. I'm gonna spend money anyway on my shooting stuff. Why not get to shoot and get paid..........

Tom2008
Yes PSE did hook up with the Drury Brothers. They are probably both going to shoot the PSE X-Force Drury Addition. Its a new X-Force for the 2008 models for PSE.
Guest antlerhead
Why Does It Matter??
lungbuster12point06
I have to agree, what does it matter...........Hoyt sponsored them in the past, now PSE comes in with an offer to build a bow with the Drury name on it, win-win for both companies. Their pro-staffers are shooting the current X Force model this year and will no doubt be upgraded to the new drury bow next. Most if not all outdoor companies have sponsors, without them it would be next to impossible for them to produce shows and videos..........just part of the biz. hoytman26
I heard about this last week. I've been shooting hoyt for 11 years now and I know it is still the best bow made in my opinion. I'm pretty upset about the Drury brothers switching just because of the money. Those guys are loaded, they dont need a little extra money from a bow company who died years ago. PSE doesn't even have what I call a real pro staff at national shoots. I'll get over it but it upsets me BAD!!! Shoot anything other than PSE. They make good crossbows. I can see it know. Dream season 11. Crossbow Madness

Any body know anything abou this? Rumor has it that Mathews is going to go with their own brand of camo on their bows. and obviously realtree won't be shooting them with someone elses camo so they are going to Bowtech (thats what i hear anyways)
wildthing
sponsors and money are what make any industry go round and round. I am still a big fan of the Realtree guys and Drury's...regardless of the equipment they use. If anything, from watching their videos I have learned more about hunting, angles, and tactics...and could truly care less about the equipment. If it was a financial decision, can't fault a man for putting more money in his pocket...we all have families to feed, businesses to grow, and personal goals to accomplish. Comes with the territories of business in general!
