The elk are in trouble this year. IronBuck shows up with a 300 Weatherby-----shooting 200 grain Nolser. The elk don't stand a chance within 1/2 mile of his stand. My poor old 30/06 didn't kill the bull dead enough for him last year. Bill said he needed a BIGGER gun last year after he shot the 4x5 .

Instead of OTPG it should be OMG. 78 grains of RL-22------says a big OUCH to me. CB

Atta boy, Iron Buck!! ;)

Sounds like medicine for just about whatever ails ya. There's not many better all-around rounds for all N.American big game than the venerable .300 Roy. But, I gotta ask why only 78 gr.???? I just stuck some 7-STW's together with 84 gr. of RL-22.......and that's just a .284" peashooter. :D

Good luck on them bulls fellers. Hunt safe.

Hi Strut, 78 grains is listed as Max in the Nosler manual fro the 200 grain partition. Sighted 2" high at 100 I am getting 6" low at 300 yards. Good enough for me!....oh..........and it works on elk to!
