Randy
Not sure if you all remember this pic but, I was hoping to get a pic with ME holding up his head instead of the neighbor! LOL Oh well, It's a nice buck and I'm happy for him. I'm just not 100% sure this is him. What does everybody think?
craig mack
Looks like him to me. Congrats to you neighbor.
craig mack
Well I looked at it again and now Im not sure because the throat patch in the picture looks very white and wide and it doesnt look that way with the one thats dead. Racks looks the same.
beagleboy
I'm not sure. Maybe because of the pose, but the G2 in the first picture seems longer than the G3. In the second picture they seem the same height. I may be wrong due to the angle of the pic.
Tom2008
In the picture that Randy took the white parts just show up brighter, because it was more of an evening picture. I would say its definatley the same deer Randy and congratulations to your neighbor. I hope you bag one of the other monsters on your land. NY_Bowhunter14
no, it aint him, look at the fork on its left side, the one your neighbor got is bigger...
Guest bow_hunter101
The sticker point on the left G2 isn't really visible on the live picture and the G3 definately looks longer in the kill shot. It's hard to say though.
Tom2008
The two pictures are pretty blurry though so its hard to say. Randy you should get your trail camera out there.
earnhardts12000
same deer i think lol
MichiganHunter
I'm sorry for you because I'm 85% sure he's the same deer and 10% sure he's not and 5% says it's his twin...lol but it would help to know when u took the pic of him, was it still velvet cause that would explain why his g3 looks so much shorter. Guest Bamaslamma
im not sure, i read all the replies but i dont think that is the same deer both of them seem to bee hard horned and the g3 on the left side (right in the pic) seems to be shoter than the pic of the dead one and the kicker on the G2 is not visible on the live pic, so i think that deer might still be walkin? buckee
I don't think it's the same deer. They are both awesome deer though.
Turkeygirl
Hard to say, but my gut says two different deer...The one your buddy got looks like it has more mass....very nice deer the both of them!
PotashRLS
no, it aint him, look at the fork on its left side, the one your neighbor got is bigger... I agree, not him. Your picture has the G3 shorter than the G2 on the left beam. Your neighbor's buck has a G3 that sticks up above the G2 on the left beam. I hope the buck in your picture has the mass your neighbor's does. Nice bucks both!
wtnhunt
Not the same deer Randy, the one your neighbor shot is bigger. Congrats to the neighbor on an absolute brute. The deer you have pictured might be that bucks son, he has not got as heavy of mass, nor is he as palmated on the right side.
Tom2008
After having yet another glance I think I change my mind completly. It looks like two different deer. Like others have said the G3 is either shorter than the G2 of the G2 is longer than the G3 on that first one.
jcs3344
what a buck, awesome mass !! look at that palmation( i dont know if thats how you spell it , im not an english teacher)
Leo
Well I looked at it again and now Im not sure because the throat patch in the picture looks very white and wide and it doesnt look that way with the one thats dead. Racks looks the same. Yep, I think the throat patch is probably the best indicator this is not the same deer. It's not unusual for deer from the same genetic stock to have very similar racks. Randy
I guess until I shoot one that looks similar to the first pic we will probably never know.

scrubhunter
They look like different deer to me. The G3's on the dead buck look longer. Nice bucks by the way!
peteski
I'm pretty sure they are two different deer. That sticker on the dead deer would show on the picture of the live deer because it would be on the side of the rack that the light is hitting. Guest antlerhead
Dont Think Its The Same Deer. So Dont Give Up, Even If It Is The Same One, There Is Probably Another Big One Out There With Your Name On Him.
Hardwood_HD
i dont think its the same deer, congrats to your neighbor anyway tho thats a nice one..
Guest Wackmaster17
I am sure that your neighbor did not shoot the buck you are after. In your pic there is no kicker coming off its left G2 and the G3 on the buck your neighbor shot is longer than on the one you have the pic of. Congrats goes out to your neighbor and good luck goin after your buck.
