johnf
The yellow tipped shockwave has proven a formatible opponent. 2 hours working on it and it's still stuck. Today is the opening of ML and I've got a stuck bullet. Everyone I know that could help me is in the woods.
okiedog
Dang.... that does stink. I would be rounding them up when they get out of the woods and buying a late breakfast for the one who could free my gun:D
Gator
Can you pull the breech plug and hammer it out through there? Or is this not an inline?
wtnhunt
Only done that once, and it was with my black diamond, was simple enough to pull the plug and push it out the breech end. Thankfully with the old side hammer ml I never did do that.
johnf
It's a Thompson Scout. When you pull the breach plug there is a hole about the size of a needle going into the barrel. I called a buddy who says he can get it out for me tonight. If he can't I'm going to try to find a fitting that I can hook up to an air compressor and blow the thing out. johnf
Got the barrel on the air compressor and it's holding steady at 160psi.
johnf
Got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got up this morning at about 6:30 and started putting powder down the breach. I put in about 5 gr. at a time and tamped it through that hole with a micro philips head screwdriver. At 7:45 I had about 60gr. of powder behind the bullet. I took it out in the woods across the street in my pj's and fired it into a tree. I brought the gun home and disassembled it. I never thought light coming through such a tiny hole could look so great. Now I've got to clean all that oil and crap out of it. Maybe I can go out tomorrow. BTW, My hands sure hurt now.
