MikeB
I took my daughter out for youth weekend. On Sunday morn she got bored so we got out of the stand to do some scouting. 3 does pop out of the beans about 75 yds away. She did everything perfect. We stalked a little closer as she uses a .410. At about 40 yds she lines up on a doe that was broadside and just leveled it! We were so excited (me more than her)!!! Here's where I got stupid. I could tell by the sign that it was probably a gut shot, but instead of waiting I went ahead and started tracking after 10 min. it was only after we jumped her that I backed off to wait. We ended up looking for over 4 hours and couldn't find her. The land owner found her a week later dead in the drainage pond. The wost part was when Lindsey told me that if I tell her to be patient again, she is going to remind me about this!!!

Ain't that the truth. It's a hard lesson to learn, but now your daughter knows why you wait. She's learning young
