wesleycasey Posted October 14, 2007 Report Share Posted October 14, 2007 i have a cheap inline TRADITIONS e-bolt 209 muzzleloader that ive had for 3 years now but this is the first season i got my gun out and it is all rusted up!!! the action and things are fine but the inside of the barrel is rusted up like no other!!! im scared to shoot it like that so ive gotta do something im only 21 so im seeking help from ANYONE that might could help me .....realtree.com is my father figure so-to-speak when i have questions on hunting cause my real dad dont hunt or anything....ive never had this problem before and after reading today of how bad of a product bore butter is ....i found out this may be my cause.......i jus started using it last season when i put my gun in the cabinet for the season...thanx in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mike Posted October 17, 2007 Report Share Posted October 17, 2007 my buddy"s rusted up something terrible a few years back. we ended up putting the end of the rod in a drill with a bore brush on it and worked it in and out will spinning with cleaner. worked pretty well too. just make sure you don't crush the rod in the drill chuck;) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wesleycasey Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 yeah i got'er cleaned yeah i cleaned it up using some JB blast and it did awesome job plus it wasnt pitted at all from what i could tell then after i shot a few rounds it was good as new!! i appreciate the input guys and the drill bit thing is an awesome idea!! but i got'er lined up and ready to go for this morning .....and im live in garrard county in the big city of Lancaster lol...small town actually but its home!
