VermontHunter
Gordon closer to fifth title with sixth win on season ... CONCORD, N.C. -- Jeff Gordon conceded the win to one teammate, worried another would take it from him, then stressed about a fuel issue he feared would prevent him from finishing Saturday night's race. Despite all his concerns, Gordon made it to the finish line for his sixth win of the season, and staked his claim on the Nextel Cup title. Gordon's win at Lowe's Motor Speedway helped him widen his lead in the standings from nine points at the start of the night to 68 over teammate Jimmie Johnson. CONGRATS to Jeff and the #24 Team on yet another victory to bring them closer to that ever so close 5th. tilter of CHAMPION .. This should brighten your day up Orlan .. str8shooter48
Great win for Gordon. I may have to watch him closer for next year. I'm definitely going to have to find a new driver for next year. My heart isn't into backing Tony Stewart in a Toyota next year or ever.
