bowtech31
Well I took my son out for the first time last night. We sat in a blind in a small white oak thicket surrounded by beautiful hardwoods. We did not get in the blind until 5:40, I did not now if he could sit any longer. You have to understand he is 2. Well anyway we got in and zipped it shut and wouldn't you know it I did not even have my release on and we had a Mature doe and her little one staring into our blind from 15 yards. I was able to get my little buddy on my lap and he watched both deer for a few minutes before they got nervous and ran off. About 15 minutes later we heard something and looked out of our blind and there stood an 8 pointer at 35 yards, tooo small for me to shoot but awesome for him to watch. I let him blow the snort wheeze at the 8 point and scared the bejesus out of that little buck. about 20 minutes later we had another 2 does come in behind us were we had no shot options. Well that mature old doe knew something was out of place because she was slowly making her way around the blind and blowing at us. My little buddy thought that was awesome. He told me to shoot tht deer so I had to draw and stuff my rear arm out the front window and smash myself up into the corner of the blind. By this time it had gotten close to last shooting light, I had a shot that looked clear so I settled my 20 yard pin and let one go. At about 10 yards I saw my arrow hit a small twig and deflect right into a small white oak. My son thought that it was hillarious. Even though I did not get that deer that was not the reason I was out there. Heres to enlightening and guiding the little ones in the ways of the wild and the ways of God!!!! What a blast.
