Wind Delimma

Ok heres the question...

I have a small food plot on a small 9 acre tract that I have permission to hunt. This summer I put a hang on stand up in pretty much the only place it could be put. The problem is, the wind has changed now and it blowing from behind me over my left shoulder. The deer are also bedded almost down wind too, or that is the direction I have always seen them come. There is a nice buck on that small tract that I am after, but I dont wanna spook him either. Since it is so small and really no have no room to hang the stand somewhere else and they are bedded down wind pretty much, how would you suggest going about hunting this?

Thanks for the input!

Well, if you're correct and you have your stand in the only feasible location, you'll just have to wait until you get a favorable wind. And unless you're hunting close to the coast, you should get different winds as the season progresses. I religiously check my detailed forecast that includes wind direction and velocity on www.weather.com.

If you have to hunt from a stand this would be my thoughts too.

Why not try a ground blind. They can be put up fairly quickly and you can move it to the other side of the food plot. Or find a natural ground blind and bring a chair.

Good option there, would be well worth considering.
