This is a monster 11point albino buck I ran into while shining in my area. He would not move for nothing. These pics were made off of a video I had shot of this beautiful buck. At first I thought he was a DNR decoy setup at 9:00 p.m. in order to catch poachers, but I eventually got the deer to run after about 11minutes. This buck is local to me, I live in Cornell, WI about 45 minutes from Eau Claire. Hope you guys enjoy the pics, please rate/comment

Shining as in spot lighting is that legal down there??:confused:

Since you asked ... I did a little checking in the Wisconsin Hunting and Trapping Regulations Book ... ;)

Here's the LAW as it is written..

Page 10 .. if anyone is interested..;)

Shining

It is illegal to:

• use or possess with intent to use, a light (including vehicle headlights) for shining any wild animal while hunting or in possession of a firearm, bow and arrow or crossbow (includes laser sights on firearms, bows and crossbows).

• use or possess with intent to use, whether or not a firearm or bow is in possession,a light for shining wild animals (including vehicle headlights) between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. from September 15 through December 31.

Note: Some areas may prohibit shining by local ordinance. Check with the local

Sheriff’s Department or township officials for local shining restrictions.

• shine at any time on federal refuges and Waterfowl Production Areas.

thanks for the welcome gang. Nope it's not illegal to shine aswell, after 10:00 p.m. I believe is illegal. This buck was old and wise for sure though, as if it knew you couldn't harm em'

I do not bow hunt, so about this time of the year I am a hobbyist. I like to setup my trail cams and monitor deer patterns, etc and I periodically shine for deer and video tape them for fun, just happen to stumble across this monster aswell as 3-4 other monstersthat night. Was my best night by far. Like I had said this buck would not move an inch, so a buddy got out of the truck to see if it would run and as soon as he slammed the truck door he began to drool and flair his nostriles. Was an amazing sight.

Welcome to the forums.

Awesome deer, but is it a piebald or an albino? Thought true albinos had pink eyes and nose, that deer clearly has pigment in the eyes and nose, may be an all white piebald deer? Either way an awesome deer. All white deer here are not legal to hunt, but that would make quite a cool trophy.

I've been getting a lot of poaching complaints in our area so I would show that video to your local Wardens and maybe Sheriff Deputies to get them involved early. I'm sure the word is out on that buck already and those lowly piece of dirt:mad: poachers:mad: will be on him like you know what.

In Wisconsin, I believe it is legal to harvest a pie-bald deer and it looks like your buck may be one. Wouldn't a true albino have a pink nose from the lack of pigmentation? He may even have a bit of color in the hair on his head, unless that's from rubbing trees.

Sweet Buck and pictures.
