That sure is an awesome buck, albino or not You sure got a lot of good pictures of him. Shining as in spot lighting is that legal down there?? I always ask that question too, because it's totally illegal here. Guest bow_hunter101
That is an awesome buck! I didn't even notice the eyes when I first saw the picture, but the only albino's I've seen have had pink eyes. Not sure why this one doesn't. c_lou
Great looking Buck. Albino's are pretty cool to see in the wild. They stick out like a sore thumb.
TravisM
That is one beautiful buck! We have a good number of albinos in my area.
Guest andymansavage
Cool buck. Yup, he's a piebald. Albinos have no pigment whatsoever (eyes, nose). Melanistic deer, on the other hand, are really cool and have too much pigment, causing them to be nearly black. Congrats on seeing him, that's pretty rare. Guest Wackmaster17
Welcome to the forums. Awesome deer, but is it a piebald or an albino? Thought true albinos had pink eyes and nose, that deer clearly has pigment in the eyes and nose, may be an all white piebald deer? Either way an awesome deer. All white deer here are not legal to hunt, but that would make quite a cool trophy. I thought the very exact same thing when I saw the pics. I have seen many albino deer and all have the pink eyes and noses. I have two piebald fawns living back behind my house, well had one was hit by a car. The one was as white as this one so I would have to say it is a piebald. But those are still some sweet pics, you should put the video on here. By the way, shinning is legal in WI and it is legal to shoot an albino deer in WI.
Tom2008
As long as it was not during the hours of 10 P.M. and 7 A.M. it was legal guys so its all good. That is an awesome looking buck and welcome to the forums. Thanks for sharing the picture with us.
bulldawg
By the way, shinning is legal in WI and it is legal to shoot an albino deer in WI. It is legal to shoot piebald deer, but not albino's or white deer, unless it is taken in a CWD DEZ unit with prior written authorization from the DNR. It's on page 16 under possession. bulldawg
So could this deer be shot in wis? That would depend on the area the photos were taken in. The southern CWD DEZ units are shown on page 30 in the regs. A warden once told me that a piebald deer has to have at least one visible dark spot on the hide to be legal to shoot it. Otherwise it is considered to be a white deer, and is protected. The albino and white deer are legal to kill in the CWD DEZ areas, as long as you get prior written permission from the DNR. The only time I'd be lucky enough to see one while hunting is if I didn't know it was there, and hence I wouldn't have the permission. nativetexan
Look at the muscle tone on that thing! Or is it just shadow? That thing looks like a pit bull. Add some red eyes to it and I just might have to change my underwear shortly after shining a light on that thing. Red eyes creep me out. Guest philipwhittaker
nope no shadows on that hog, thats all tone and definition. Like I had mentioned that pig was a brute, looks like it was pushing close to 300 lbs. It was big, pictures don't do it justice. Make sure you guys check out the link to the other photos on my 2nd post. The hair on his back was sticking up. He just had a massive body, couldnt begin to imagine what this deer looks like during peek rut, when his neck would swell. I should really try to get out there and get some more shots. Most of the LARGE deer around my area have been relatively easy to pattern during bow season(except theyre at night) They tend to stick to the woods that I've spotted them in or they were of a mated pair and refuse to leave they're doe. Wonder If a guy could win some deer photo contests with this? what do you guys think? It's been one of the most visited on the forum. I'm glad I got to share it with everyone. Big12Eric
I live in wisconsin and i think this is a piebald. I would shoot him for sure. However I would consult with a local game warden for his confirmation first. Then have at it. Beautiful looking deer though.

Guest philipwhittaker
just realized something while showing off my pics at work today, It's actually a 12 pointer 7 on left and 5 on right side. And the bucks curve is unsemetrical.
JamesVee
It could be just the lighting, but he doesn't look to have all of the "pink" characteristics of a true albino. If I were you I would try to find any patch of brown on that deer if at all possible. Brown, and he's down.
