TreeStandBowHunter
"Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall!!!! Just kiddin' Gunny! Couldn't resist. LOL I would of loved to have seen her on that wall with a gun:D
TreeStandBowHunter
First off, I need to say I haven't laughed this hard at a post on here in a very long time!! Some of the responses, well,....struck my funny bone! :D:D See that's the thing man, this is all one big comedy show:D From reading my responses throughout this thread, people probably think I am crazy and mean and treat my wife like a "doormat"...but really I am not:D My shrink thinks I am crazy but I tell him he is crazy, not me:D I have been told though that I am a sexist and womanizer:eek:...wouldn't know why:D
stevebeilgard
this has been a great post. especially the man song. fun stuff. doc, i know it's tough to work all day, then stop off and get groceries. in hindsight, if you had stopped all would have been fine. not stopping, all is pretty bad. i prefer fine. for 40 years, i've had a wife that goes out of her way to creat things that she thinks i'll like. and i've learned that the more i can do for my wife, the higher my dividends. so, i do lots for her and she does more for me. and i like my system. don't know if it will work for others, but it works for me. Guest Finn
My wife is not a stay at home mom, so I'm not sure how I'd feel. In this example where she passes the store twice a day with no kids in tow, I'd be wondering why I need to get stuff. As is, I don't mind picking up stuff to help when she needs it. Many times, I ask her to pick up something to save me a trip. Man this thread has been scaring the @#$!% out of me since I am getting married in 4 days. I feel for ya bro!!!!! Marriage is good....it gets tough when the kids come along.

Grant-KS
I vote grouchy. It ain't about groceries, it's about love and serving each other. If you love her, do it. If you don't, groceries are the least of your problems. And like the others have said, don't EVER try to rationalize or examine the logistics of a woman's actions, EVER! Rhino
Sounds like Mike got everything worked out with his wife right from the start. Attaboy Mike! You didn't Todd and now you can't expect her not to call and ask you for help because she failed to plan supper in advance before she left the house. Sounds like you need to have a long talk with your wife but you'll have to pick the right time. That time sure isn't right now either. Oh and remember...there are hormones working on women all the time that we'll never understand...that is except for buckee.
