natethebowhunter
does the primos "the long can" work well for whitetails? if so is there a certain way to make it sound good or can you just flip it over and be confident with that? MUDRUNNER
I've seen the new long can,but I actually just blow in the hole on my original can and make it as long or as short as I want.

Dogg6
I've never heard that either. I've been just turning it over for 4 years, with luck. But I'll have to give blowing through it a try.
johnf
Been blowing cans for three years now. They seem to work great. I have had problems getting them to work for more than one season. Has anyone else had that problem? It's like when hunting season rolls around the thing just stops making a sound.

Only problem I have had with the original can is my kids getting a hold of it and shaking it. It does not sounds quite right when you flip it over while holding the hole covered, too high pitched and too short. Blowing in the hole it sounds much better, but you do have to tilt it back. Straight Shooter
The only problem is gettting the diaphram wet by blowing in it, warm air into a cold cylinder equals condisation. That is why it'll only work good for one season. I try to keep mine as dry as possible its a good idea but I don't like having to buy a new one every year. They do vary in tones and its hard to find one that sounds just right. JMO
