AJ Posted November 13, 2003 Report Share Posted November 13, 2003 Does your 44 Mag have the adjustable objective? It just sounds like the settings are off. Sometimes it takes a combination of adjustment of the objective and the focus ring on the eye piece to get rid of paralax. Are the lenses dirty? If they are dirty they could obscure the view enough to make the retlcle seem fuzzy. The only other thing is maybe your eyes are getting older. If the O-rings dry rot or are exposed to the right chemicals they can deteriorate enough to allow the gas to escape. If you look at something close range you will see paralax. It can be removed by adjusting the focus ring on the eye piece properly. The 100 yard setting is a happy medium as closer range hunting shots are close enough to nullify the errors caused by paralax. So you are shooting and your shot is off by 1 MOA.
