LifeNRA
While driving down the road, sometimes the truck feels like it looses traction on a bend of the road, like it wants to skid sideways when hitting a slight bump! I also hear a metal to metal banging noise while in four wheel drive going up mountain roads. This happens whether in 4low or 4high. Truck is 13 years old with about 98k on it. Torsion bars maybe? Heck! I am no mechanic! :p
whttlbucksteve
Check out your thought that is what my truck does and that is the problem.
Shaun_300
Is the loss of traction feeling and metal to metal sound coming from the front or back of the truck John? Sounds like you might have a broken leaf spring.
LifeNRA
Check out your thought that is what my truck does and that is the problem. Huh? Is the loss of traction feeling and metal to metal sound coming from the front or back of the truck John? Sounds like you might have a broken leaf spring. Front end. Shaun_300
Well that puts a leaf spring out of the question. My best educated guess would be a broken stabilizer link. (aka: sway bar link).
LifeNRA
Thanks Shawn! Gonna have the dealer take a look at the next oil change! Or before if things get worse!
Nick
HMM....My truck does the same thing.......but its brand new and its just because of the horsepower and torque. If I give it any throttle through a curve it wants to go sideways. I kind of like it though. Oh, the power of diesel engines....
unioncountyslayer
This is a crazy thought, take it to a mechanic.
