Guest MitchCags
Hey guys, i'm new to the forum, and im happy to be here. Heres the deal. I really want to do a lot more scent control, so i figured id tell you my plan so far. Let me know what you think and add any tips. Let me know if i should add something of leave something out. Here it is: -Shower in scent-free soap, shampoo, scent-less deodorant -Wash clothes in scent-free detergent -Put clothes in scent free bag with earth wafers -Then put bag in a rubber-maid container -Place boots, pack, any other hunting materials in the rubber-maid container with wafer -Spray with scent free spray before going out to hunt
wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Sounds like a good plan.
c_lou
I always wash a few towels and wash rags in the scent free soap. Then they go into my tote with the rest of my clothes. It just doesn't make much sense to me to shower in scent free then dry off with a towel that has been washed in regular Tide. I also go so far as to wash a couple pairs of socks and boxers in scent free. After I use those up, I re-wash and put them back in the tote. I also put a earth scent waffer in my bow case. Can't be to scent free.
craig mack
Just be sure to not be putting the earth scented wafers in there if you have any scent elimination clothing.

Guest MitchCags
I just wear regular camo, but i do have the scent lok base layers, with some occasional under armour.
Jorden
Dont forget about playing the wind correctly...that is as important as anything else
Randy
I'm not a big fan of scent wafers, a big buck will know that that smell is not natural. I take leaves and grasses from the area I'm hunting and put them in a nylon bag. I put the bag in with my clothes in a air proof bin. Like C Lou said, wash your towels, underwear, and everything else you plan on wearing. I also have some whipes that I use on my hands before touching any of my clothes that I am putting on. You can never be too careful, always hunt the wind. Welcome to RT, Good Luck!
LV2HNT
sounds good...just make sure you do not put those wafers in the same bag you store your scent lok suit or clothes because the carbon will wear out no matter if its human scent or wafer scents. Tom2008
All you need to do is wash your clothes in scent free detergent and store them in air tight bag. Throw some wafers in like you said and your set. Don't worry to much about your boots and accessories. Just spray the inside and outside of the boots with scent free spray and the rest of your accessories. Scent is sometimes worried about too much. It doesn't take much to keep yourself concealed from a deer's nose.
