DSGB
Six months ago I had my last dip. Cold turkey. It was tough at first - lots of gum and sunflower seeds. I don't need any of that now. I get the craving for one every now and then, especially after a nice steak dinner and a couple beers. I still get the Heartlands magazine. The last issue had a coupon for a free can. Too bad I don't dip anymore.
Tominator
Good for you. I'm proud of you. Trust me, nobody wants the anguish of cancer.
Master_Chief
Way to go. I quit chewing Copenhagen over 15 years ago. I have never been that sick before. Now the urges are few and far between.
muggs
Great choice man. I never got into that, but I do have a friend who still has serious gum damage and all kinds of other problems with his lips and gums. He used to chew all the time, since he was about 15 up until he was 25 and the doctor told him he'd either lose teeth or worse, like Chris said, end up with cancer. Good move. Shaun_300
Congrats man! Good job. My dad has been on and off the Skoal for a few years now. He'll quit for a few months, then dip for a few months. The only time I take the odd pinch is in deer season.
Gator
Good for you!!!!! I quit 8yrs ago, unfortunately, I started back again in May, the stress just got to be to much for me to handle. I know, bad excuse, but at the time, I didn't know of a better alternative. Once things are back to somewhat normal, I plan on quitting again. DSGB
Thanks for all your support! I started in high school, young and foolish, and realized after doing it for nine years that the longer I continued the habit - the harder it was gonna be to quit.
