The Power Of Many

Folks,

After practically begging to help our brother Buckee out for the last few months, Steve has agreed to let us help him.

We all know Buckee, and he is arguably the "Godfather" of this forum, and it's time to help him out. Whatever you can spare, $1, $5, $10, whatever, if we all get together and send a little out to Steve it will help he and his wife pull through until he can get back on his feet painting again and finish beating cancer.

I can personally tell you he sent me some cash and other things over the years when I needed it, and I know he has helped in the other causes we have all contributed to.

If you have something laying around you would like to auction, that would be cool too.

What do you say? Are you in?

Here's Steve's address:

Steve Kane

4735 Cherryridge Drive,

Courtenay, British Columbia,

Canada V9N 6E9

Thanks folks. Let's put the power of this forum to work.

I knew I could count on you folks.

Just a couple things to keep in mind that Steve B. reminded me of.

#1--Don't use U.S. postage, it might not get there. Best bet is to go to the post office and let them handle it.

#2--Don't use a Priority Mail envelope, the USPS won't deliver that to Canada.

#3--Keep in mind checks take a fair amount of time to clear because of the border issues.

Let's keep this going !!!!!

I'm getting something in the mail soon Sherm

Have sent a few things to Canada over the years, and always just doubled up on the US postage and what I sent got there fine, but I have wondered about this. Got a check made out, will probably be Tuesday before I get by the post office though.

I risked sending cash once John, but this time around, I think I'll be sending a check. Check is fine, it just takes a long time to clear.

I honestly don't know how a money order is handled up there. Maybe someone from the Great White North can clue us in. If it's not a hassle, I'll send a US Postal Money Order.
