Re: Savage varmint

I've got a Savage 12BVSS in 22-250. It is by far the most accurate rifle that I own. I ended up doing a bedding job, adding a SharpShooter trigger and playing with loads and it will give me one hole groups on demand at 100 yards. For what they cost, I don't think that you can go wrong.

Re: Savage varmint

I have had quite a few Savages in the last few years and they are very accurate. Right now I have a 22-250, 308 & 30-06!

I plan on doing some selling in the near future and getting rid of the 30-06. It is a left-handed bolt with a synthetic stock! Shoots great!

Re: Savage varmint

I have a 12bvss in 243 with the accutrigger (which i think is the absolute best factory trigger on any gun) and my buddy has an older model just like it that is a single shot in 22-250 mine shoots about .5 with premium ammo his being the single shot shoots .5 with the cheaper stuff. but both guns have shot groups that will make a liar out of you if you cant produce a target to back it up
