arrow32
This Saturday I have the day off to hunt but the winds are suppose to be around 20 mph according to the weather right now. Not even going to go I don't think alot of wind to sit up in a tree all day. What would you guys do not go?
VermontHunter
If it's not rainning I'd go ... I just watched Kandi Kiski on North American Whitetail drop a MONSTER from her stand with prevailing winds ... I guess it would boil down to wether or not you're comfortable in a stand with strong winds ..
Guest bow_hunter101
I'd understand if you didn't go, but no more than I get to hunt I would definately be out there. When I get a chance to hunt, I go whether it's raining, snowing, windy whatever. Don't always have the best luck in bad weather, but I still love bein out there! hoytman26
Go to weatherunderground.com and look at the detail forecast. It will give you wind speeds at 2 5 8 and 11 am. I use this all the time on windy days. It also gives you direction at those same times. Like for us they are saying 20 mph winds saturday but at 8 am they are saying 8 mph. The deer will move saturday morning and according to the moon chart it is a good day and the moon is directly overhead at 7:50 am. Good luck. Also says to hunt the transition area. Actually had a tornado in the area last night:eek: and I have still been going.....and seeing deer :) Friday morning is looking like 20 to 30 mphs should be a fun ride in the tree :D:D So yeah I would go
