Jeramie
There is a 100 acre hard wood patch next to our ranch. I grew up hunting it. The owner lives a couple of hours away in Oklahoma City. He started giving out permission so in the last couple of years anything bordering that has went to pot. People flood that timber and its full of deer, squirrels, etc. This year it wasn't looking any better. Todays youth season Yielded truck after truck in the ditch. I mentioned it to my Grandma tonight after a bow hunt. She said, "Run em out." Obviously I cant run people out of someone else's place, even if I did grow up hunting it. But then a light shined from Heaven..... "Its part of the ranch now." Those words about caused me to drop my bow! Our surrounding pastures have went to pot to a degree because of the pressure coming from that 100 acre patch of timber. Not any more..... Grandma bought it and added it to our Ranch! She just hadn't told anyone! Now we can get the ranch back to its former glory! I also have another 100 acres of nothing but hardwoods to hunt! Today was a good day....
