Abear
Monday morning at around 8 something I looked to my left and i notice antlers. I was shocked. Anyways he was an 8 pointer that was a decent or pretty good 8 pointer. It just depends on who you are I guess. The reason i passed it was because it was average i have killed bigger but also i have killed much much smaller and the rut really hasn't started and it was the first buck i had seen from my stand all year. But then i haven't killed a buck with my bow... So I don't know...
Guest Finn
Only you can answer that....but if you wouldn't be happy shooting in, you did the right thing
nemodeerhuntersneighbor
I always say "if you have to think about it, then he isn't a shooter" Wait for one you know you want to shoot as soon as you see him. You can't kill a big deer if you shoot a decent one.
johnf
You'll know at the end of the season.
MN BuckKiller
I think you did the right thing the bigger bucks will start moving as its getting closer to the rut. And if you didnt spook him he will be around so you may get a 2nd chance.. good luck
scrubhunter
Just like nemo said, if you have to think about it let it go. I prefer to use the "holy crap what a buck!" method!
CampRAGS
you did the right thing,, the rut is coming,,,
Leo
It's a personal thing. What's more important to you? That first archery harvest or a deer you feel good about harvesting?
