Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I think everyone has at least one hunt that they dream of going on or had a dream of going on and made it happen. Two questions 1. What is your dream hunt? (where, what animal, and with what weapon) 2. Did you fulfill your dream and go on that hunt, or is it in the works? Me, I have 2 One, is to go on an Elk hunt out west somewhere, and harvest one with my bow. (rifle would work to, but would rather use my bow). and my other one, is to go to Alaska and take a bull moose with my bow or rifle. This one may actually be in the works. I have a friend who's uncle lives up by Anchorage and hunts bear and moose there. My friend and I are trying to plan it for about 2 or 3 years from now. I really think this is going to happen, and best part is we already have a place to stay up there so it would cut the cost a little. I think for around $3000-$4000 each we could make this happen. and ever since we talked about it a week ago, i can't get it out of my head!!! stevebeilgard
i've always wanted a desert sheep. the cost is now around 40,000., which i hate. actually, i refuse to pay the cost. i also refused to pay 15,000 in the early '80's as it was too much then. beagleboy
I would love to hunt moose in the Yukon with the bow or a plains game hunt in Africa. I have two lawsuits concerning my back injuries and surgeries. If they come through, I'm placing a nice chunk of change in my kids bank accounts, upgrading my home and planning a nice trip for myself. Heck, I deserve it after all I've been through. wtnhunt
Pretty simple here really. Saskatchewan or Montana for whitetails would fullfill what I consider a deam hunt. Somewhere out west for mulies is another dream. Someday maybe when my kids are grown and moved out.
Guest Finn
Saskatchewan for whitetails with my bow. I've had offers to go with a good buddy this year, who's gone the last 3 years. Hope I can work it out in the next 5 years.
nativetexan
Warthog with a flintlock. Of course I will have a large BUG. Something about those tusks that intrigues me. Unless I win the lottery, this will never happen.
VermontHunter
I have 2 dream hunts ... #1. being able to hunt Antelope out west with a bow , to me nothing beats up close and personal. Hopefully this hunt will be reality with my good friend Steve B. next fall.. #2. would be hunt the MONSTER Whitetails in Sask. Canada, with the bow also, but the rifle will work too ... :D This hunt will probably stay a dream, as the funds will probably never be available.. but dreams are what keep us going i guess.. texastrophies
dream hunt #1, back pack in on horses for elk. this was discussed on our elk hunt last week, so I guess you could say it is in the works, but still a couple of years out probably. #2 is a big mulie. I am getting my pref. points gathered and will hopefully get this one in a few years.
Tominator
Honest? Every time I hunt here in Ohio. I used to want to bowhunt elk, caribou, or whitetail out west somewhere, but I don't really have a desire to do that anymore. Hunting for me now is about sharing it with friends more than anything. I'd still like to go to South Dakota and hunt pheasants, that would be cool, or Argentina for doves--non-stop shooting for days on end. OJR
I had "dream" hunts right here since '89 and wouldn't trade them for anything! Never shot anything real huge, but every hunt was great!
rhine16
Would love to go to Montana and Saskatchewan deer hunting. Bow in Montana probably gun in Sask. Also would like to go for an elk. Plan to definitely do it someday.
Guest bowhuntr_15
#1 dream hunt would have to be for a big bull elk with my bow in one of the good elk states!! And #2 would just be to hunt whitetails on the Milk River in Montana or Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, or Kansas with my bow!!
archerjg
My Dream hunt would be Caribou, Moose, or Elk. I would be happy with any of those three hunts. Too much to even think about going on any of those hunts right now. Myabe in a few years after I get a house and my own property, but right now it won't happen. muggs
Elk and/or caribou with a bow. If I had to choose, I'd probably go with the caribou. I just love that rough country way up north in Quebec there. Plus the stalking/ ground hunting would make the whole thing challenging enough I'd really consider that bull a trophy. Someday, I hope to make this a reality. As for right now though, I just want to put a tag on an Ohio whitetail that's over 150".
Adjam5
Hmmm.... To hunt the elk rut with a recurve, moose during the rut with a compound and Brown bear with a gun (of course). With my 3 sons, who will be hunting too. This will be a hunt on pack mules or horses(maybe snow mobiles) to a remote location. Maybe even a drop camp in Alaska. It will be 4 weeks long and very successful:D

Guest A_K_H_U_N_T_E_R
My dream hunt Kodiak Brown Bears Hopefully I will get drawn this may and my hunt will come true next fall. I also noticed that a lot of people want to hunt moose. I dont pretend to know all the Moose hunting answers but if you have any questions about moose hunting here in alaska feel free to ask me. It really isnt that expensive to do it on your own.
