arrow32
The hunt yesterday wasn't nearly as eventful as the last times I had been out. The wind was blowing harder than all get out like I had posted before. I deciede to hunt a very well used trail in the bottom of the holler figured some deer might use that as so they aren't in the wind as much being up on the top or anywhere. My thoughts prooved right. Sat for about 2 hours with nothing not a thing then finally a doe came out walking down the middle of the holler on the trail I was hunting. She didn't give me any shots at all and just kept walking. Then about 30 minutes later 2 more doe came out a different spot and stopped 30 yards away I was ready to shoot but the big doe had a limb between me and her:eek: Then after I watch those 2 graze around I see 2 more come out about 45 minutes later and they just kept walking never gave me an oppurtunity. Thats how the hunt went no deer down here yet. Still working on it. Best of luck to you guys.

Guest IllinoisMackDaddyHunter
Hang in ther my man. Have had deer around me all season and not a clean shot. I shot a doe last sunday and never found her. Haven't lost a deer in 4 years. It was a hard shoulder hit, but never found any blood. we tracked her or looked for her from 7:30 till around midnight. I'm in the same boat your in . I felt aweful about that doe. I'm just trying to put it behind me and move on. Keep your head up, it will happen soon.
