tallone
Look into pelican flashlights, they are waterproof and the brightest I've ever used.
Guest Ironhorse
I just picked up one of the Cabela's Alaskan Guide Series. It looks just like a Surefire. All metal construction. Very solid looking. It's really bright and about half the cost of a Surefire. I haven't had it long enough to know about battery life. Maglites are always tough to beat for the cash, too. Guest chappy
I love my Streamlight.
BearClaw
I like the Streamlight too. I have the Buckmasters version with the alternating green, white and green lights. The white is pretty bright and the green is what I use to walk to and from my stand. Your mom might not care about that however. It's a good light though. LV2HNT
What is your favorite type of flashlight to use to find blood trails I am looking to buy a new flashlight to find deer and was wondering what is the best
wtnhunt
Next flashlight I get may be a streamlight. For now, the old standby 3 D maglights always work well. For tracking and blood trailing at night have a craftsman 19.2 volt light that came in a drill combo pack that works really well.
LifeNRA
You don't want to worry about batteries, a 3D size Maglight! I have had mine for over 12 years now and still going strong! I got some for the house too in case of power failure!
Straight Shooter
That's the down fall, the brighter you get the shorter the battery life. I've got two Surefire's in the G2 and G3 Nitrolon's, I'm totally impressed with them but batteries being an average of 4.00 a piece I don't use them except to track deer. For battery duration I'd go with any of the Mag-lite's, cheap batteries and last alot longer on life. JMHO
