craig mack
I got a feeling that its gonna be short one. I think with Colorado sitting so long that they wont be as hot as they were. I hope I'm wrong, I would like to see a battle. I say Boston in 5.
buckbuster11
Boston in 6. The pitching matchups heavily favor Boston in this series all across the board.
Tominator
Yawn. Tribe's out. Who cares. Both teams are hot. Curious to see if the layoff cooled off the Rockies at all.
toddyboman
Boston Pitching looks/sounds better......but is that really true. I mean we get the Red Sox and Yankee crap shoved down our throats all the time so we all know so much about them, but we never hear or see anything about the Rockies....when was the last time we saw them on a Sunday night Baseball game..... I hope the Rockies win. Have to pull for the NL team. What are the Red Sox going to do at first base when they go to Denver...... You have Ortiz that sucks as a fielder but is a clutch/great hitter. You also have Youkilis whom normaly plays and is swining a hot bat.
muggs
I think the Rockies have a much better lineup, but Beckett will be the difference. If the Rockies can somehow win game 1 and get to Beckett, they win the Series in 7. If Beckett looks like he did in the ALCS, it's Boston in 6. Master_Chief
Much better lineup? Are you looking at the same teams I am. I just don't see the Rox being better top to bottom either at the plate or on the mound.
buckbuster11
The Rocks top to bottom in the lineup are a little better, but they dont have big time clutch hitters like ManRam or Ortiz. Defensively they are much better then the Red Sox. But, I just think the starting pitching for Boston is so much better, it's going to be hard for the Rocks to win this. muggs
Yeah, I mean Tulowitski hits 6th or 7th for them. Holiday, Helton, Tulo, Hawpe, Atkins...they're more balanced IMO. Crisp/Eilsbury and Lugo are pretty much like having two pitchers hit for you, so when they go to Coors Field, the BoSox will basically have 3 pitchers in their lineup. But I do like the Eilsbury for Crisp change. That was a great move by Francona. With his speed and bunting ability he's going to be a big, big key when they're playing without the DH. Speaking of the DH, I'd imagine they'll play Ortiz at 1st in the NL park, taking Youk's bat out of the lineup. So, yeah, I think the Rocks have the better balanced lineup- matter of fact- it's really not close I don't think. Taveras at the top of their order will give you guys fits too. Should be a good series, but pitching should win it for the Sox.
rhine16
I'm saying Sox in 6. They will win 1 and 2. Rockies 3 and 4. Sox 5 and 6.
natethebowhunter
rockies all the way...the red sox will put up quite a figh but will fall short in the end...sorry to tell ya'll boston fans but colorado is getting the title this year
unioncountyslayer
The Rockies did take 2 out of 3 in Boston during the regular season. But this is the World Series and Boston has been there before and won. I think Colorado will give the Sox all they can handle but I still say Boston in 7. Matchthedeerslayer
go rockies being a brewer fan im goin for the NL. woooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!
TreeStandBowHunter
Boston in 6;) The cold weather sure won't bother Boston. I don't think the Rockies can beat them...not in a best out of 7 anyway. If it was best out of 3 or 5, maybe but not 7!
ricfirefighter
Boston in 5 enough said:cool:
Bowtech_archer07
I say Boston in 5 as well. Colorado is going to have the same problems as the Tigers last year.... when my Cardinals won it all!!!!!!!!! Colorado will win the first game at home and then Boston will win it in Game 5 in Colorado
Master_Chief
Well well well. Looks like Pap-ajima hasn't been to bad in middle relief. The bats have been quite silent for the Rox. Not counting chickens before they hatch but I like the way things are going so far.
muggs
Yeah, Okajima (spelling??) has been HUGE this postseason...right now he's probably one of the main reason the BoSox are in this position. The Rockies needed this game big time, too bad they couldn't eek a run out. I still think the Rockies have a chance to get back in this series though. Tomorrow will be do or die, but you have to think the pitching matchup favors Boston.
Master_Chief
No doubt the Rox are still in it. One thing they will not do is give up. But I do agree tomorrow is crucial for them.
