Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Apparently, the fans who have voted must not remember michigans defense since the majority think the buckeyes will lose to them Although Michigans Defense is getting better and the offense proved they can win without Mike Hart. I think Michigan may lose another close game to Ohio State. I'm not so sure they will even lose a game this year. people can make the case that "they haven't played anyone yet" yeah, well they are the only ones right now who are actually beating the teams they are supposed to every week. buckbuster11
I'll take Michigan. I'd be real surprised if OSU didn't lose to at least one of those teams. All 4 of those teams are capable of beating Ohio State. Since Michigan's season pretty much ended week 1, the Ohio State game will be like the Super Bowl for them....so I'll go with them. muggs
I took Penn State, because the Buckeyes never seem to be able to win in that environment and this is the youngest team they've sent there. But I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose that game and the Michigan game. Like John said, that game is Michigan's season now and those seniors who came back for no other reason then to beat OSU and have a shot at a title will be jacked...as will the crowd. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
who knows, they could beat michigan and penn state and lose to illinois. heck the way this season is going IF they do lose a game, it could be the team no one expects to beat them. I think the buckeyes are a little better than people think they are. Michigan beating them would be great. but i won't get my hopes up...if they can go into that game 9-2 i'll say they have a shot. they have tough road games against Mich state and Wisconsin coming up. Ohiobucks
They won't lose, defense is too strong. As long as the offense doesn't turn the ball over while scoring a few TD's each game, the D can control everything else IMO. National champs? Let's just get there first........ Yeah, and the Buckeyes probably won't get jacked up for that game..... They could both be terrible all year and that game is still the Super Bowl. Both teams realize that there are 3 goals going into each season: 1. Win a national title 2. Win the Big 10 3. Beat Michigan / Ohio State That game never needs title hopes or #1 rankings, etc. to be the game of the year for both sides. In a way, I kind of expect this view out of John as an outsider looking in to this match up, but from you Eric? And you call yourself a Buckeye fan? muggs
I know Tom...I know...but I'm just not sold on them this year. Boeckman is much better than I expected, and as you say, their defense is stellar but I just don't think they have enough. I'm not a big Beanie Wells fan either. He seems soft and carries the ball like he's trying to have it strip out of his hands. Mo Wells wouldn't even start for Kent State. We'll see though, this does remind me of the year they snuck up on everyone to upset Miami for the Championship. Those are 4 tough, tough games and Hart and Henne are on a mission. It's in the Big House too.
buckbuster11
Dont let the early season loses when Michigan was asleep fool you. They got caught overlooking a team big time. But, they are still loaded with talent, offensively especially, and if they bring their A game they can hang with anybody in the country. Home field advantage doesn't hurt either. I agree with all that, but their D is really bad, they lost a lot to the NFL and graduatiom and it doesn't look like they replaced much of it. MCH
I really don't see any of those teams beating the Buckeyes. I do, however, see them losing in the BCS championship game.
