buckee
Try repositioning your camera first. You probably have it set where the deer walk past it too close, and that's why your missing them. Set it up so the camera is looking down the trail, and you will get pictures of deer coming and going.
wtnhunt
Could be in your setup, false triggers caused by sun setting or rising, could be grass or something that is a ble to retain heat moving in the wind, or it could be slow triggers. Homebrews will give the best performance, and are all I use anymoe with the exception of the old leaf river cam I have.
Hoyt03
The cheapers cams work fine but don't trigger fast enough if you have it set up facing straight on the trail, the deer will be out of range before it takes the picture, like you see on the cuddeback commercial. You have to set these cams up angled up or down the trail so the deer will still be in range. If your going to go with a faster trigger cam get a leaf river or buy a homebrew from someone on here. Cuddeback is known for crappy customer service if something goes wrong in the cam.
BearClaw
Depending on where you junt, private or public land, you might try a salt block to slow them down long enough to get the picture. I've had some Evolved Habitat's blocks out and there was a doe trying to chew off a chunk the other day. They are digging into the ground from the dissolved block. That will keep up close for the picture. Check your state laws obviously for legal reasons.
98chevy
My moultree works great. I Just put a new one out this past weekend. Its a 4.0 megapixel That runs off of D batterys. It seem to have a slow trigger time. Also my moultrees and a buddys cuddie backs always take pics of the sun rise. Probley 10 or 15 every morning. We both learned quick. My moultree has taking pictures of hogs trotting by. ill try to find a pic
Guest bow_hunter101
I have a 4.0 megapixel Moultrie and it works great. I set it up last week about 15-20 feet off a trail going through a field. I got about 30 deer pictures perfectly broadside in the middle of the frame. I had 1 picture from the sunrise, 1 from a possum, and maybe 2 blank pics. But with the digital pictures, I just delete the blank ones so it doesn't bother me. BearClaw
I have a Moultire Game Spy and while it has a slow trigger, like I said, I use 'stopping' food and it takes great pictures!
Guest deermasterkyle
what is a homebrew?????????????
wtnhunt
what is a homebrew????????????? Homemade trail camera, in most cases using a higher quality camera than what the big commercial companies can use in their setups. Here are a few of mine: These two are 4.1 mp camera with initial trigger of under 2 seconds, follow up triggers as fast as the flash can reload at night. Couple shots from these cams
