fisherguy
The biggest is 16", we caught about 35 total for two of us but lots of small ones. Had to keep a few of the little guys that got gill hooked.

fisherguy
Re: Splake from my christmas break not too bad, it was only about -15, and burying them in a bunch of snow keeps them from freezing...i did have to rinse them off so they actually looked like fish in the pic though. DSGB
Re: Splake from my christmas break No need to carry a cooler, huh? Looks like good eatin', although I've never tried those before. They taste good?
fisherguy
Re: Splake from my christmas break They are like brook trout in taste, very red meat. Shaun300 try burying them in powdery snow, even at -30 or 40 it keeps fish from freezing too much.

fisherguy
Re: Splake from my christmas break a cross breed between lake trout and brook trout. THey have lost most of their colour from being frozen. THey look pretty much like a brook trout only with a forked tail, and a more pointed nose.
