kraabel2003
What are you guys seeing out there? I think this weekend should be pretty good, high of 45 here this weekend. I have been seeing a lot of young ones this week and a lot of spraping going on.
Tominator
Depends on one's part of the country. In Ohio, I haven't seen too much activity yet.
c_lou
I am in West Central WI and haven't seen any signs of the rut yet. I haven't found 1 scrape and not even the stupid bucks are moving yet. Hopefully with the cool snap this weekend they will get to moving. Turkeygirl
I'm seeing more scrapes and rubs. I think it's picking up a little bit here in my part of NY.
lakemisurfer
Evidence Saw some scrapes and rubs in north central WI, not much day time movement though, this cold weather should get them moving more.

Rhino
I just got off the phone with my friend in southeastern Iowa. For the past couple of days he's been seeing lots of younger bucks running around during the day. The older bucks are working scraps right at or after dark. He sent my about a dozen trail cam pics. Looks like I should hit it about right arriving up there on the afternoon of the 3rd and hitting the woods on the 4th to hang a few stands and start hunting. WHISKEYSWAMP
I haven't had much time to hunt but have heard a lot of activity going on right now. A lot of big bucks moving and chasing does. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it out this weekend but starting Tuesday I will be hunting hard for the next couple weeks. Vitals Only
Here in Minneapolis scrapes are really starting to get opened up. Last weekend a friend of mine had a nice 140 class chasing 3 does. I think the weather should be perfect this weekend. Anyone going to get aggressive with their calls or antlers? hort
In our area of NY, I haven't seen a rub, scrap nor a buck (in the daylight) in the woods yet. I've been out six times and two different locations. It's a bit odd!
Tominator
Things are starting to hop quick in central Ohio. 3 dead deer on the road over the past 2 days, tons of rubs, a good amount of scrapes, and some seeking going on too. Saw two does being hounded yesterday and this morning too.

Guest LIVEWIRE
CHARLIE A. said 7-10 days after the full moon(oct.26) should be the (best) time to be in the woods. that takes us to nov.5-6 then the breeding takes place. that will last for about 10-14 days then a low period.
