Turkeygirl
Need some input, lol. Today is our last nice day for a bit, rain all day tomorrow and mostly Saturday. I'll get home from college al ittle before 3pm. I'm trying to decide, turkey hunt or deer hunt? I went to the state land yesterday and nothing, I think the wind maybe sent the turkeys down off the ridge from where I was seeing them. So I'm trying to decide whether to go back there and hunt this afternoon, or go to my stand and try to tag a doe. What should I do?? My one deciding factor is it may be bad weather to hunting deer with it raining, but I can also spend a few hours walking field edges, looking for turkeys in fields by home. Such a nice day, what do you guys think??

I don't turkey hunt so the decision would be easy. New
Turkeygirl
The walking for turkeys would be on private land by home, probably won't be anyone out. State land, yeah I wouldn't be walking around. I'm kinda leading towards deer because I saw alot of deer this morning, saw a huge doe waiting to cross the road. HUGE! That got the adrenaline kick-started. Hmm...I'm not a good decision maker, lol.
wtnhunt
I sure wish we had a fall season for birds here Ruth. Been seeing a flock of birds regularly. If it were me, I would deer hunt though and if by chance a turkey came along, well then take advantage of the opportunity.
OJR
Go for the deer! I would think there is a good chance they will be moving!

Although we do have a fall turkey season here in PA, which starts this Saturday! Ill be deer hunting, but if a turkey happens to be in the area. I also bring along a few calls just in case! Taking one with your bow would be cool!

beagleboy
I'd hunt deer. They should be on the move with the rain coming.
RangerClay
Two things to concider. Deer, we are having a full moon. Mucho night movement by the deer. Turkey, I loooove turkey hunting in the rain. Turkeys hate to be in places where they cannot ruffle their feathers so they hang out in fields where they are easy to spot. Go sit down and have Andy put on a drive to you.
