leatherneck
I am the grandson and great grandson of 2 of the most famous saddle makers for the old Matador Ranch in Texas. I grew up working with leather on the ranch, stuff like head stalls and spur leathers and what not. Well I just got all of my Grandfathers tools, and am now getting back into it. I've done a few wallets, purses and belts. I was just wondering if anyone else doodles in the art of leather work?
okiedog
As a matter of fact I do:D. Back in the late 70's my dad took it up making belts, wallets, purses and such. Latter on, he ventured into saddles. He made quite a few for the round up clubs and others. When he died that was one od the things I latched on to. There are some tools in that collection they havn't made in years. Neat stuff and a great hobby.
