Matchthedeerslayer
i was walking to my stand a couple a days ago and there were these turkeys on the trail that i normally take to my stand. then they got spooked ad ran right tward my stand and when i got to it there was a doe standing 30 yards from my stand looking right at me. Then i tried to stalk her but she got spooked. this has happened to me before during gun season but they came back and i shot them. what should i do if that happens again????? Shawn
Just keep going to your stand and wait it out. The deer may possibly circle back around after you've kicked them. Its happened before.
Guest LIVEWIRE
think nothing about it you'll not run the whole gang off because you bumped one . believe it or not when we go scouting we talk and talk loud they are more at ease then to catch you sneaking around. i can be talking and looking and sometimes they will just stand and look at you as long as your at a distance and don't stop walking and don't make eye contact. but you look from behind a tree and you'll scare the daylights out of them. they know us better than most realize. as long as your working on a tractor or combine they could care less but you take 10 steps directly at them they will watch you another step and ther're gone. they know what your place is. Matchthedeerslayer
the thing is that i do wait it out and they never come back. I've tried everything though now thats its the rut. I've used doe estrus, grunt tube, rattelin, and even buck urine but the result is the same nothing.
