I got two does Saturday morning:D.I couldn't be more pumped!I got shut out last year with my bow and passed up several bucks, and it feels good to put some veni in the freezer after how slow my season started this year. Here's the story.

I meet up with a buddy at 4 in the a.m. Saturday morning.I load my stuff in his truck and off we go.We get there at about 5:10 and I start getting ready, only to realize I forgot my rubber boots. It looks like I'm hunting in my white Nike teni's.(Never done that before.)I had a spot scouted for a west wind and headed out.I find the tree and while I'm climbing up there are limbs hitting my back.I sure don't remember them being there.I get up to about 20' and realize that another bigger limb is right in way and I don't have my saw,so I drop down about 5' and get settled in about 5:45.An hour later the sun starts coming up and realize the tree I was supposed to be in is about 15' away, but I decide to stay put since it's still on the same trail.About 6:55 I see a buck chasing a doe through the trees so I give a grunt from the true Talker, and the doe comes right in.I see the buck is a 1 1/2 old 8 pointer so I decide to take the doe and she stops at 18 yards and I plug her.Not sure of the shot I stay put till 8:30,watching 4 forkhorns spar and rub tree's like crazy.I find my arrow and get on the blood trail and start sneaking.I find her about 70 yards away and get her tagged, then I here another deer blow and stomp.I picked up my bow that still had an arrow knocked and she bounds to my right 30 yards broadside and I stick her and she goes down within sight.Sorry for the long post. Here's a pic.My daughter had to get in on it.:D
