Griz
Re: Coffee.. LMBO@Buckee....... I fill just like that guy on some mornings..... dg
Re: Coffee.. I have my timer setup to go off at 0445 and the pot is filled up to the 9-cup level. But those cups are smaller than my mug. Then in the evening I fill it up to the 7-cup level. And occasionally have one in the mid-day when it's chilly outside. I drink it black and none of that fu-fu stuff. HuntingInMaine
Re: Coffee.. I use to drink a couple pots of coffee a day, but am now down to two cups in the morning (lots more energy now!). I use lots of Splenda and cream, can't stand it black. By this summer I hope to have kicked the habit all together and maybe I can start working on getting rid of the cigarettes.
Palssonater
Re: Coffee.. Started this year. Kinda goes with the job that I got. I make a "8cups" a day. But it is more like 2 large coffees all said and told. One in the travel mug for the commute and a vacuum thermos full for later in the day. If you guys get the chance, get some Tim Horton's coffee. That stuff is great. I buy the big tins of it.
Tominator
Re: Coffee.. I'd work on the cigarette habit before the coffee habit. Last time I looked, the odds of getting cancer with tobacco use vs. the odds of getting cancer with caffeine use are noteworthy. I drink 2 or 3 cups a day, only in the morning, and always black. hutchies
Re: Coffee.. [ QUOTE ] 3 to 4 big cups of hot, strong and black will get me going.... [/ QUOTE ] Not even going to comment on that one. Occasionally drink coffee with American vanilla or irish cream.

Last time I looked, the odds of getting cancer with tobacco use vs. the odds of getting cancer with caffeine use are noteworthy. [/ QUOTE ] Well... actually, studies have linked caffeine use directly to many cardiac disorders... including heart disease... as caffiene is a stimulant that "stresses" the heart. I certainly do not deny the health risks of cigarette use, but I applaud you in your efforts to make a healthy lifestyle change... be persistant... it will pay off, also consider a smoking cessation clinic at your local hospital... often they are offered free of charge. Best of luck.

NYBUCK
Re: Coffee.. When I get up in the morning I boil water and have a cup of instant coffee. Long story short, when I was two my grandmother lived in the other side of the house and I used to go over there and have a cup of coffee and chocolate chip cookies. She put lots and lots of milk in it. Ok maybe I was three. Anyway I learned to love instant coffee. Then when I get to work I usually have one (from the brewed machine) then one at 10 am and maybe one in the afternoon. That depends on how boring it is on the RT site. Anyway ..... about 4 cups a day. The best coffee I have ever had has to be the chlorine coffee at the smackdown in the Adirondacks. LOL.
