Guest Ironhorse
Can anybody explain the benefits of a striker fire handgun over a traditional hammer, or the other way around? Thanks
WaCoyote
I like the single action benefit of the hammer fire (shorter trigger pull) but for normal shooting it doesn't matter all that much. Especially in a self defense role. Striker fire have a long trigger pull that seems weird at first but it's easy enough to get used to. My buddy has an XD .45 and compared to my CZ75 it's a tad hard to get used to but once you do it's no biggy. I will go for a hammer on my next toy though. Unless a glock or XD strikes my fancy but I doubt it.
