OK, lets see if I can get some help here...;)

I wanted to ship TSBH (Mike) some VT Maple Syrup so I did some checking and as far as I was told it was OK to ship this item to Japan (Okinawa). Here's the kicker, and I'm hoping I made a mistake,, the package I need to send weighs in at around 5.5 lbs.(12"X4"X8") and according to the US Online postage calculator this package would cost me between $38.00 and $42.00 to ship ...:eek::eek::(:(

Would anyone out there know of a cheaper way of shipping this out without is costing as much if not more than the package content itself ?? ..:confused: The nitt witts we have working the post office here are about as useful as a NAT on a dogs behind ..:rolleyes:

I know if there's anyway of getting some useful info it would be from this community of intelligent information finders..:D;)

ANYONE ???

SORRY this is being such a delay Mike,, our men/women serving shouldn't have to wait so long for some comforts of home ... :(:(

Luke, I appreciate it man, really, I do but believe me, we have all the comforts of home right here;) Now granted they don't sell that kind of syrup here but we do have a commisary that sells just about everything we need, even my scapple:D;)

Do not feel obligated to send anything over here. It is expensive. I don't know any other way to ship things. See I used to think that FPO's were treated like US addresses. But I think I was wrong. I will say this, those scrolls I sent out were only like $2.38 I believe. On the other hand, when my dad sent my bow (Over a month and it is still not here yet), he paid $115.00 to send my bow and it's accessories:eek: You can't hunt here but they have an archery range up on the AF Base.

Anyway, please to not feel obligated to send anything here, none of you.

I live on a little 65 mile long tropical island, play lots of golf, wear lots of shorts...what more comforts could I need:D

Luke,

I'm one of those #$%& you are referring to at the USPS...LOL

First off, find out if Mike has an APO/FPO address, then you will be charged domestic postage only (much cheaper!)

You can check UPS, FEDEX, AIRBORNE, etc., but they will probably ALL be higher than the price you found on our site.

Ship it in a Priority International "Flat Rate" box to get your best deal.........insurance will be a couple $$ more...

If you print your postage online, you save some $$ too!!:)

He can expect to get your liquid gold in 6-10 days!!;) Pack it nice and tight!! Hope this helps...good luck!

Mr What can brown do for you,

I am at an FPO address...I thought I said that in my post:DLOL...Luke can't spell and you can't read:DLOL, J/k....just kidding. Just a little morning humor...

Luke, When I send things to the US, I send them first class and all I have to do is fill out the little green customs declaration card. I would not think sending a little bottle of the liquid gold can be that expensive, those prices sounded high Luke. Also, there is no UPS trucks here Luke:D...at least not physically:D

LOL..

I didn't even bother to check with the guy's in brown Mike .. :D:D

The prices were quoted from the USPS (United States Postal Service) online site .. ;) And yeah I thought the price was high myself,, but that's what what the online shipping calculater says... YIKES .. :(

Yep, I'm aware of the FPO-AP address and the Customs Declaration Tag ... ;);)

Before I ship this puppy out I will double check the FPO mailing address with ya through PM just to make sure it's correct,, like I said tho,,, MARK MY WORDS this will arrive to you...:D;)

If you want him to be happy, I'll ship him some Wisconsin Maple Syrup ;)

Wisconsin, has maple syrup that came from a tree ...:confused::D:p;)

Craig, my friend we want Mike to continue to fight for us,, not switch sides after sending him that colored water you cheese heads call Maple Syrup .. :D

The couch might be just a tad expensive to ship Mike .. ;)

Think I would check with UPS Luke. Also, the online calculators @ the usps are often not correct. I sent something here a while back it was telling me was going to be like $9 and I knew that could not have been right. I went in and when I dropped it in at the post office it ended up being more like $3.

Check ith UPS if you want. But you'll probably get an eye opener. :(

Our economy (slowest) service to Japan would be a 3 or 4 day service and it'll cost you. Most of our international stuff is 1 or 2 days and it'll REALLY cost you. It's a fantastic thing if you really need it. If you don't mind waiting a couple or 3 weeks for a non-urgent item.........the Post Office is the way to go. ;) Now, on the other hand, if TSBH absolutely needed the syrup for breakfast tomorrow morning.............Buster Brown could hook you right up!! :D

Looks like William was right again ... those dang online calculators aren't even close to accurate .. :D:D

The wife shipped the package out to Mike this morning VIA US Postal Priority Mail with Insurance and Delivery Confirmation,, for the GRAND TOTAL of $18.15 ..:cool:

So Mike be on the lookout for that package it's on it's way my friend ... Hope you and the family enjoy the Maple Syrup .. :);)
