mo_hunter
My son shot his first deer during youth season last Sat. evening 8 years old. Shot this 8 point buck at 60 yrds with a 22-250, perfect shot. The deer ran 60 yrds. After he shot he told me the scope hit him, I looked over at him to see blood running down his nose. Scope hit him between the eyes. Held some pressure on the cut for a few minutes and everything was fine. I don't think the cut phased him, he sure was happy and I'm one proud dad. In the first picture he had to stick out his tongue because the deer had his sticking out.
kingfisherfd2
WHAT A GREAT LOOKING DEER!! Just let him know that a scope cut is a badge of honor. Maybe it will form a little scar and when people ask him about how it happened he will get to tell them about his first deer he shot hunting with his dad. NS whitetail
that's awesome  you have to be 16 years old here in Nova Scotia to hunt deer ( then you must be with an adult ). 18 years old before you are allowed to hunt on your own here.
