wtnhunt Posted November 4, 2007 Report Share Posted November 4, 2007 Our youngest daughter turned two yesterday. Hard to believe she is two now, the time sure flies. Had company coming for her birthday, but I still went hunting in the morning for our muzzleloader opener since our company would not be getting to our house until mid morning. Saw deer shortly after I got in the stand well before legal shooting light. Ended up later on around 7:15 getting my first ever shot on tape on a decent body sized deer for this area with the ml. Catrina(my wife) wanted to get out that afternoon by 3:30, especially after telling her how well they moved. So when I went back and picked up my deer in the field with the tractor, I poured some active scrape over the two fresh scrapes the buck I shot had worked and also refilled the scrape dripper I had hanging at the edge of a plot nearby. Long story short, our company did not leave in until late, I had expected my parents to spend the night, but they wanted to go on home. Catrina ended up not getting out the door until after 4. I will let her tell her story, but she also killed a buck, her best to date(better than mine). Her first buck with the ml, she shot him in about the same spot where my deer expired:cool:. She has the video camera with her and is out again with my oldest daughter. Pics of my deer were taken with the video camera in the field, will probably be sometime tomorrow before I get them loaded.
